Using a Werth HV 500 computer tomography measuring machine, we can scan workpieces and create their 3D point cloud (STL) and image with short deadlines. If the part fits in a cylinder that is 500 mm in diameter and 700 mm in height, then it can be successfully measured with CT.
The workpiece should not necessarily be made of one material only. CT technology is applicable to measure workpieces made of different plastics, metals like aluminium, copper, steel up to a certain strength, porcelain, glass and carbon fibre.
CT measurement yields the so called 3D point cloud of the workpiece. This dimensional point cloud is applicable for controlling both internal and external dimensions.
The workpiece can be a multi-part complex element, too. CT measurement makes it possible to inspect assembled parts in a non-destructive way.
After CT scanning, non-destructive material inspection can take place.
The necessary measurements are carried out by specially trained and practised engineers based on the scanned 3D point clouds:
An official report is issued about the executed evaluations including the results of each measurement task.
